    Description

    Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for an Electrical Controls Designer to join our Hamilton team.

    The Electrical Controls Designer willwork usingcomputer aided design (CADD) software to createdetailed and complexdiagrams and models of electrical systemsalong with associated documentation (Bill of Materials, work scope, etc.), TheDesignerwill also be responsible forproviding technical support to theteamsand will be expected tomaintain proper communication withthe client and withteam members.

    What will you as a Electrical Controls Designer at Spark Power ?
    Creating electrical diagrams for industrial control panels. (Motor Control Panels, PLC Panels, Relay Panels, etc.)

    Createelectrical schematics including bill of material, power schematics, control schematics, panel layouts, terminal layouts, cable overviews, I/O lists and general notes.

    Design to UL508A and local electrical codes
    Create 2D and 3D drawings as required
    Perform drafting of field mark-ups for record drawings.
    Make site visits as required.
    Train and provide technical support todrafting team members.
    Assist with project preparation and close-out
    Support team members in filling out project paperwork
    Diverse and exciting projects and customer base (industrial, commercial, institutional, renewable energy)
    Continuous training and skills improvement
    Intermediate level – minimum of 6+ years' design experience in Industrial Electrical Design
    Junior level – less than 6 years of experience design in Industrial Electrical Design
    Proficient with drafting/drawing software including but not limited to Eplan, AutoCAD.
    Experience modelling 2D and 3D within AutoCAD or other industry accepted 3D modelling software an asset
    Business Perspective – Demonstrates thorough understanding of how each business unit adds value to the organization.
