We are looking for a Financial Analyst to analyze data, create reports, recommend improvements, and generate change in the areas of Inventory Control and Asset Management.

The person successful in this role will be able to provide value in the following areas:
Control:Implement and strengthen key internal controls to reduce organization risk.
Analyze: Review and interpret past and present transactions in the operating system to maintain accurate balances, identify trends and project material flow.

Report:Use available tools to prepare accurate, useful, and timely reports for all levels of the organization.

Improve: Improve fiscal health with thorough analyses of financial data.
What you will be doing as it relates to inventory control and fixed asset management:
Inventory Control
- Assist in the monthly close process by analyzing inventory trends and variances, and compare and correct data to reconcile transactions
- Develop and maintain confidential, protected reporting to monitor business performance and provide managers with insights into risks and opportunities
- Manage and troubleshoot issues related to a company's inventory
- Develop business cases to support pricing and sales decisions
- Collect inventory and sales data, identifying and analyzing discrepancies
- Develop and improve inventory control systems
- Implement and maintain a fixed asset inventory process, including recommendations for disposals of fixed assets, useful life assignment, and depreciation schedules
- Record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, adjustments, and depreciation on a monthly basis
- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets
- Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets
- Develop and prioritize the capital budget
Preferred Education and Experience
- A degree in commerce or related discipline
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent Designation
- 3 years of fixed asset management or inventory control experience
