What you will be doing:


The Family Centre is recruiting a Family Support Services (FSS) Specialist Supervisor to be a part of the Collaborative Service Delivery (CSD) team.

The guiding principles of CSD are early engagement, family centered involvement, outcome-based practice, collaboration and shared responsibility with Children's Services (CS), and flexibility/innovation within the delivery of services.

This position is a made up of supervisory (0.5) and front-line specialist tasks The supervisory component of the role consists of providing supervisory support and direction to the
FSS Specialist team as well as process creation and documentation.

The specialist component of the role involves supporting the FSS service areas with data collection, administration, and other backbone needs.

This position reports to the Manager, Data and Information (FSS).

This is a full-time position of 36.5 hours.

  • Supervisory Tasks (0.5 FTE): o Provide regular supervision to Specialists, FSS and develop and monitor annual
Professional Development Plans o Oversee FSS Specialist team, including team meeting agenda planning and facilitation, and support team to be adaptable and responsive to program changes o Identify trends in practice and provide recommendations for process improvement o Liaise with practice supervisors and front-line teams and engage in creative problem solving

  • Specialist Tasks (0.5 FTE): o Execute administrative processes including reporting, file audits and management, data collection, and resource distribution o Use multiple software systems including Microsoft Office, Google Suites, internal databases, and Payroll Guardian Incorporated (PGi) time card system o Support interviewing, onboarding, and scheduling for casual staff

What you will bring to the role:

  • Degree or Diploma (in Human Services or Administrative related field preferred)
  • Comprehension of administrative systems and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites and comfortability learning new software systems
  • Ability to incorporate a traumainformed, Indigenous practice lens into administrative systems
  • One year of leadership experience in the nonprofit/human services sector is an asset
  • Knowledge of and practice experience with Children Services' or Human Services sector is an asset

  • Child Intervention Records Check (completed within the last 6 months)

Compensation
