    Misiway Milopemahtesewin Community HealthCentre, located in Timmins ON is established to provide quality programs andservices that honour, respect and support Indigenous culture, values andhealing practices, complimented by western approaches to primary health care

    We are searching for an experienced NursePractitioner who will offer primary care services to clients of all ages in apractice that is culturally sensitive and safe for all.

    TheOpportunity:

    Job Title: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner SalaryRange: $93,000 - $137,000

    Misiway Milopemahtesewin Community HealthCentre

    Bring your proven clinical experience inadvanced assessment, diagnostics and treatment to a challenging and rewardingrole in primary health care services. As a Primary Health Care NursePractitioner you will work as part of the interprofessional team to provide avariety of health care services spanning health promotion, disease preventionand chronic disease management. Your knowledge and/or willingness to learnabout Indigenous values and healing practices will assist you in the deliveryof high quality and culturally competent care.

    As a successful candidate, yourqualifications will include:

    • Current registration in good standing with theCollege of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class RN(EC) without restrictions
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a PrimaryCare Nurse Practitioner is preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflictmanagement skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in amulti-disciplinary team environment
    • Ability to honour, respect and supportIndigenous culture, values and healing practices
    • Experience working with Indigenous clientsand organizations is an asset
    • Proficiency in the use of computers andvarious software applications
    • Class G driver's licence and use of a vehicleare required
    • Ability to speak Cree or Ojibway isconsidered an asset
