GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


As directed by the Maintenance Manager, the Purchaser is responsible for all Procurement activities for the Maintenance department and various plant support functions.

The job will also include stockroom maintenance and control, where duties will mainly consist of organizing the parts stock room, controlling inventory, and ensuring stock levels are adequate.

The purchaser will be responsible for their own personal objectives which support the department and factory vision, preventative practices, relationships with all departments, safety, and levels of quality.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Great Organization skills
  • Inventory Management experience a must
  • Working with Budgets / spend reduction
  • Working closely with all plant maintenance and assist in development of sourcing of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across internal depts as well as with external contractors, vendors and suppliers.
  • Assist the plant with audits of spare parts inventory, receive invoices, and process paperwork.
  • Working with all maintenance team members to build sustainable improvements for parts rooms, processes and methods.
  • 35 years of experience of purchasing experience prefered
  • Experience within a Manufacturing facility preferred
  • Microsoft office skills required (Excel is a must have)
  • SAP or Equivalent ERP
  • Knowledge of key part suppliers and distributors
  • Other duties as assigned
