Job Purpose
The Spray Painter is responsible for painting steel according to the work order.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Displays a commitment to Waiward's incidentfree vision, values, and culture;
- Use overhead crane to lift finished items into the paint area;
- Paint steel according to the paint sketch and drawings;
- Complete a visual inspection of finished work and report to the supervisor when the work order is completed;
- Read, understand and follow all safe work practices and procedures for machinery and equipment;
- Have and use the proper tools to meet the specific job requirements;
- Keep work area clean;
- Attend daily toolbox meetings;
- Follow work schedules;
- Reads, understands and complies with Waiward's safety policy, safe work practices, procedures and rules;
- Ensures that they wear the appropriate personal protective equipment at all times;
- Report personal injuries, no matter how minor, and obtain medical attention as required;
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Certified Overhead Crane Training preferred;
- Respirator Training preferred;
- Basic Rigging Course an asset;
- FLHA Training;
- WHMIS.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$25.98-$33.18 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Weekends only
Experience:
Industrial Painting: 2 years (preferred)
