Job Purpose
The Spray Painter is responsible for painting steel according to the work order.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Displays a commitment to Waiward's incidentfree vision, values, and culture;
  • Use overhead crane to lift finished items into the paint area;
  • Paint steel according to the paint sketch and drawings;
  • Complete a visual inspection of finished work and report to the supervisor when the work order is completed;
  • Read, understand and follow all safe work practices and procedures for machinery and equipment;
  • Have and use the proper tools to meet the specific job requirements;
  • Keep work area clean;
  • Attend daily toolbox meetings;
  • Follow work schedules;
  • Reads, understands and complies with Waiward's safety policy, safe work practices, procedures and rules;
  • Ensures that they wear the appropriate personal protective equipment at all times;
  • Report personal injuries, no matter how minor, and obtain medical attention as required;
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Certified Overhead Crane Training preferred;
  • Respirator Training preferred;
  • Basic Rigging Course an asset;
  • FLHA Training;
  • WHMIS.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$25.98-$33.18 per hour


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Weekends only

Experience:

Industrial Painting: 2 years (preferred)
