Introduction

We are seeking a Reliability Specialist to join our Service team.

You will be responsible for onsite field work using advanced digital tools, which include a combination non-destructive testing (NDT) and mechanical inspections to complete digital gear inspections, rapid scan shell mapping, and other services.

Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring the highest level of technical expertise, and become certified to Metso's Training program in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, ASME, AGMA 1010, and applicable standards as required by specific countries.

In this position, you will report to the Field/Site Service Manager.


This position is mainly located in Eastern Canada, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

however, it involves up to 80% travel.

Team you belong to


You will join a team of reliability specialists dedicated to performing and completing digital inspections and NDT in compliance with client, industry and company standards and policies.

Our team culture is all about ollaborate with field service, millwright, and client teams, to execute complex scopes.

What you'll do

Performs and completes Digital inspections and NDT in compliance with client, industry and company standards and policies.
Technician should have an interest in digital tools and will gain experience using ECA (Eddy Current Array), UT (Ultrasonic Testing)
Ensures all equipment is setup, calibrated and functional at all times in alignment with client and company procedures.
Applies testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications for both conventional and advanced NDT methods.

Provides direction, guidance and mentorship for the continuous development of the Professional level and Trainee Technicians in compliance with industry codes, standards and procedures.

Continuous learning, training, and certification, we expect technicians to be eager to learn new techniques and participate in the development of novel inspection methods.

Who you are

Preferred knowledge in mining and industrial fields (welding, metallurgy etc.)
Good communication skills, spoken and written.
Customer service and satisfaction focused
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have all physical capabilities such as walking, sitting, proper vision, hearing, speaking, and sense of smell.

Ability to work in a variety of environments, which may include exposure to cold, heat, and humidity.
