- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- 4+ years of Management Experience
- Good general understanding of how large scale software systems are designed, built, tested, deployed and into the hands of customers.
- Strong understanding of delivery and go-to-market methods and metrics.
- Good general understanding of the role of product managers, product designers, engineers, quality assurance, devops and product marketers
- At least 5 years of experience working in the engineering organization of a product using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFE)
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Software Development including Omnichannel Digital experiences and API Integrations
- Experience in developing reusable components for middleware and mobile native development.
- Exposure to iOS (Swift, Objective C) OR Android (Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Java, Kotlin)
- Familiar with CI/CD build pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitHub Merging and Branching
- Test Automation Experience
- Good work ethic, self-starter, and results oriented
- Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies

The opportunity
The digital mobile team is building out the capabilities required to enable Manulife to deliver a successful, high quality product and services to our customers. As a Mobile Software Engineer Director on the digital mobile team, you will bring your expertise on software development delivery to our existing and new applications. You will help drive the design and enhancements of new customer experiences, including product offering and high quality services to our customers. You will collaborate with the product team, multiple technology teams at Manulife and third party vendors.

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, OntarioSalary range is expected to be between
$107,730.00 CAD - $200,070.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
