Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service to customers and carriers.
Help manage current customer accounts.
Provide shipment quotes for customers and set up shipments as required by customers.
Excellent multitasking skills
Assist Customer Service Supervisor to achieve the objectives for the department.

Proactively identify shipments at risk of service failure and take control of shipments to ensure on time pickup or delivery service.

Be aware of all aspects of the business requirements/arrangements for major customers.
Handling inbound and outbound calls to customers.
Correctly troubleshoot and proactively resolve shipment discrepancies, as needed.
Perform shipment tracing
Ensure all customer inquiries are handled in an efficient and professional manner.
Ensure quality entry of all orders and proper use of notes as per SOPs.
Ensure all special rates requests are communicated to rates department for a proper quote.
Communicate with interline partners. Track Trace, POD retrieval.
Update client portals, appointment details, up to and including final delivery status
Updating SOP's on a regular basis.
Cross training coworkers on SOPs.
Meet KPI standards, as per the company procedures
Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor

Requirements and Qualifications

The ability to work both independently and as a team player
Solid Customer Service experience
Excellent administrative and data entry skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and planning skills
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
