Associate District Manager in the Ontario Market.


As an Associate District Manager you will develop and lead a team of Service Specialists who provide pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions to restaurants, hospitals, hotels, retail stores, food and beverage plants, schools, nursing homes and other commercial establishments.

Within the team, you will be responsible for coordinating district initial services, ensuring service excellence, managing open routes, pursuing sales opportunities, and performing quality assurance visits.

As a part of your development, you will participate in recruiting, selecting, coaching and the performance management process.

What You Will Do:


  • Supervise a team of 1020 Pest Service Specialists responsible for day and night route management while ensuring service excellence and compliance with applicable regulations / laws
  • Pursue sales opportunities through coaching and mentorship of the team
  • Participate in selection, training, development, and coaching of Service Specialists
  • Coordinate district initial services, manage open routes, maintain inventory and perform QA visits
  • Review profit / loss monthly statements and projections to drive business growth targets

Territory Coverage:
Downtown Toronto, Scarborough to Peterborough


Weekend Rotation: 1 every 3 weekends


Overnight travel:
Up to 30%


Travel will be predominantly throughout the GTA but will also need to travel to other part of the province where there will be up to 3-5 nights of overnight travel per a month.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School required. Postsecondary education preferred.
  • PC skills: proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, after hours during the week and on weekends to support the team and customers
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess or able to obtain Pest provincial certification & business licensing
  • Ability to work remotely with internet access capability
  • Proof of Covid19 vaccination may be required based on client site requirements
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Physical Demands:


  • Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) chest high.
  • Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions.
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear.
  • Must be capable of wearing a respirator
  • Possess or able to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to country or provincial law

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in process or completed
  • Related industry experience
  • Previous sales experience
  • Experience managing a remote workforce
  • Prior experience monitoring/assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Proven record of meeting customer needs, quality service delivery, meeting business objectives, and the ability to lead a service team.
  • Good decisionmaking & problemsolving skills when handling challenging situations in a fast
- paced environment.
