Key Qualifications:

Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists
5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
3 years of experience in oncology pharmacy
Working knowledge of NAPRA standards for Sterile Hazardous compounding
Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while meeting conflicting deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong organizational, problem solving, prioritization and decisionmaking skills
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Ability to function efficiently in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professional

Position summary:

Duties as a Pharmacy Technician primarily scheduled in oncology
Assist in continuing improvement initiatives to achieve best practice
Work with the NAPRA specialist to ensure compliance with NAPRA standards and support new initiatives to improve processes
Specialty program responsibilities: ordering medications, receiving, record keeping & maintaining inventory
Barcoding and assisting in maintenance of physical inventory in oncology
Additional duties as required including on call coverage for oncology compounding needs when clinic closed
