    The successful candidate
    will be required to work with minimal direct supervision in a team environment and maintain collegial working relationships.

    Staff are required to communicate with school principals, school staff and students to ensure minimal disruption to the learning environment.

    All employees are required to work safely in accordance with WorkSafe B.C.

    Completion of grade 12 Class 5 driver's license is an asset Landscaping experience is an asset Ability to meet the high physical demands of: exposure to a variety of weather conditions, vibration and noise, dust and flying particles, lifting and carrying heavy objects, physical coordination and exertion in a variety of postures, working in dirty and dusty environments, sustained postures for some tasks, working in confined spaces or at heights


    Examples of Duties:

    Grounds Maintenance – assists truck drivers to load, unload and deliver a variety of materials and equipment; assists the Gardeners in ground maintenance, including weeding; cuts and trims grass; mixes and pours concrete; sets posts; constructs, maintains, repairs and lays our sports field and associated fixtures and equipment; erects, assembles, maintains, repairs and dismantles playground equipment; digs trenches, lays pipes; performs demolition work; breaks concrete, moves and removes sand.

    Material Services- moves and stores boxes, furniture, equipment and tools; arranges furniture as directed; assists truck drivers to load, unload and deliver a variety of materials and equipment; sets up and breaks down loan equipment and furniture; transports and carries material to work area.

    Maintenance & Construction – assists journeymen in structural construction work; assists with delivering, handling and preparing job sites; performs demolition work; transports and carries material to work area; breaks concrete, move and removes sand.
