- BA/BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or Physics
- Proven ability to lead and provide technical direction to a team of 3+ software developers and or data engineers in a virtual work setting
- Experience mentoring co-op students and recent university graduates
- Must reside in Canada, and have the ability to travel to Cooper Equipment Rental's Head Office in Mississauga, ON or other locations when required (10% travel time expected)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing: Duties and Responsibilities
What You'll Bring to the Team: Qualifications and Requirements
Nice to have:
Advanced degree (Master or PhD)
Database administration experience
Experience implementing OLTP or OLAP databases
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft-related data technologies (Azure SQL Databases, data lakes, Azure Analysis Services)
Software development, in particular Python programming experience
Knowledge of AI & Machine Learning techniques
