Production Manager - Outsourcing
Ghost VFX


Responsibilities- Schedule meetings across time zones, take notes and gather the action items to be distributed- Update the Production Tracking System to keep it show schedules on track. Work with Pipeline Devs to advocate for automation. if needed- Based on a schedule created by the Production, track the progress of tasks for assigned departments in the production system; flag any issues that might affect schedule and targets- Provide a list of weekly targets and tasks due/past due (an internal WSR) to the teams regarding project deadlines- Communicate with all groups to provide weekly or bi-weekly updates on progress on unification- Flagging issues, crewing adjustments, roadblocks, or schedule changes in relation to named projects- Arrange Production meetings when needed to facilitate inter-studio communication. and handoffs- Collaborate with Global Outsourcing Producer and Show Producers to evaluate global resourcing potential.- Support production of both internal and external initiatives for prep work and shot work by creating and maintaining workflows and timelines in conjunction with multiple productions as well as global departments.- Assist the Global Outsource Producer and team to schedule production work and communicate deadlines and changes to production teams.- Follow up on milestones, and targeted deadlines, and flag risks as they arise.


Required Skills:


  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Clear and effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Capable of organizing and coordinating people, with enthusiasm and clarity
  • Organized and methodical in their approach to the work
  • Problemsolving and time management techniques in a highpressure environment
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to maintain deadlines, workflows, pipelines and schedules.

Preferred Skills:


  • Prior company experience.
  • Prior VFX or postproduction industry experience
  • Understanding of VFX workflows

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 35 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software

Education:


  • High School education or equivalent required
  • BA/BS in applicable field preferred
