In this position, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including gathering baseline data, creating environmental protection plans, and conducting Environmental Monitoring for significant multi-disciplinary construction projects.
All stages of environmental studies from proposal preparation through data collection, interpretation, and reportingCoordinating permits, licenses, and approvals
Environmental management, erosion, and sediment control design and monitoring
Provide environmental ad vic e and solutions to guide design and assist with planning
University degree in Biology or a related field
Experience should include proposal preparation, aquatic or terrestrial habitat assessments , environmental monitoring, permitting, and reporting
Specialization in fisheries / aquatic sciences is required
Specialization in wetland assessments would be considered an asset
Ability to work independently and travel as needed for field work throughout Alberta
Proven report writing experience , strong communication abilities and regulatory (Federal, Provincial) approval experience
Proficiency with GIS, ArcMap, mobile data collection, and/or data management would be considered an asset
Possession of a valid AB driver's license is required at the time of hire .
