Job summary:

Our Winnipeg office is seeking an accounting professional to join our finance team for a 16-month term.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate processing of a high volume of daily client payments via electronic funds transfer, wire payment, direct deposit, Interac, cheque, cash and credit card.

This position will work as a member of our Accounts Receivable team and requires regular communication with internal customers and external clients with respect to invoice and payment details.

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing online banking information for payment amounts and details
Capturing payment details for electronic storage
Handling internal and external account inquiries
Handling cheques and bank deposits
Assisting clients with credit card payments via the telephone
Coordinating work with other members of the Accounts Receivable team
Completing reconciliations, including problem solving issues
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

Professional individual with a minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent education
Ability to deal with highly confidential material
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Working knowledge of an accounting and/or document management system would be considered an asset
Experience in a professional services firm would be considered an asset
