    Job summary:

    Our Winnipeg office is seeking an accounting professional to join our finance team for a 16-month term. The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate processing of a high volume of daily client payments via electronic funds transfer, wire payment, direct deposit, Interac, cheque, cash and credit card.

    This position will work as a member of our Accounts Receivable team and requires regular communication with internal customers and external clients with respect to invoice and payment details.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing online banking information for payment amounts and details
    • Applying payments on customer accounts within firm service standards
    • Capturing payment details for electronic storage
    • Handling internal and external account inquiries
    • Handling cheques and bank deposits
    • Assisting clients with credit card payments via the telephone
    • Coordinating work with other members of the Accounts Receivable team
    • Completing reconciliations, including problem solving issues
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications include:

    • Professional individual with a minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent education
    • Ability to deal with highly confidential material
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Working knowledge of an accounting and/or document management system would be considered an asset
    • Experience in a professional services firm would be considered an asset
