PURPOSE OF POSITION:


The CISO has a focus on Cyber Security, with operational responsibilities for Personal Computing, Enterprise Computing, and IT Service Delivery.

This position is responsible for the delivery of all operational IT solutions and services to the required levels of performance, availability, and cost within acceptable levels of risk.


The CISO is also responsible for the overall maturity of IT operational and security processes, including the development of plans / road maps and the execution of projects and continuous improvement to meet current and future organizational needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:


  • Cyber Security:_
  • Actively engaged in all aspects of the area including:
  • Review and monitoring of the external environment for new threats
  • Implementing processes and technology to respond to threats
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of processes and technologies and continuously improving
  • Reviewing progress against cyber plans and objectives
  • Actively leading response to Cyber Security incidents, using agreed to practices and plans
  • Actively leading corporate Cyber Security awareness and training activities
  • Provide expertise to all levels of the organization, including the Board of Directors
  • IT

Service Delivery:
_

  • Review the delivery of solutions and services by staff and partners using reports and metrics. Where gaps / issues are seen, work with the team and partners to address with corrective action.
  • This includes the delivery of:
  • IT Service Desk / Frontline Services
  • IT
Enterprise Infrastructure (ex. Servers, Storage, Network, Security, Identity & Access solutions)

  • Cloud Service Delivery
  • IT
processes and automation (using the ServiceNow platform)

  • Project Support: _
  • Assessing new vendors / technologies for Security implications
  • Reviewing development / project processes to ensure security controls are in place
  • Supporting audit and thirdparty compliance projects
  • Work with BT/PMO to champion IT projects which:
  • Keep IT solutions secure, scalable, and supportable
  • Reduce cost of IT solutions
  • Build new capabilities required by the current strategic horizon
