Who are we?
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for financial and cost accounting reports for all of the company's departments and product lines, including monthly statement preparation and analysis, product and job costing and labour cost analysis.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare monthly, year-end and projected financial statements and reports.
- Ensure accurate material costs and labour hours, for all products.
- Set up and maintain labour hour recording system and perform labour hour data analysis.
- Ensure credit policies are set up and monitored.
- Ensure sales invoicing is current and properly priced.
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, ensuring they are current, complete and accurate.
- Ensure sales for special order items are properly recorded.
- Ensure timely completion of sales commissions, benefit premiums, tax and other remittances, and required government reports.
- Prepare various forms and reports for internal and government requirements.
- Ensure customs requirements are complete, including: preparation of proper export documentation, NAFTA certificates, drawbacks, refunds, and diversions reports.
- Prepare and submit tax returns and remittances.
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly accruals and adjustments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Skills and Attributes:
- Completion of 3 or 4 year Accounting Program
- Professional Accounting Designation, CPA considered an asset, but not required.
- 3 years accounting/administration experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience supervising administrative staff an asset.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written in English)
This position has the following core physical requirements:
- Prolonged sitting and computer use, as well as stair climbing
Location:159 Roy Blvd, Brantford, ON, N3R 7K1 (On-site, 5 days a week)
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
