DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Process biweekly payroll across all companies for our Canadian and American associates while ensuring that earnings (and deductions) are accurately processed based on preapproved timesheets
  • With assistance from Accounts Payable Supervisor, ensure all expense reimbursements are processed
  • Remit all source deductions on a timely basis
  • With support from Controller, calculate, accrue, and remit compliance related filings (WorksafeBC, WSIB, Washington L&I, and new registrations, as required
  • Ensure all discontinuations of employment are processed timely and accurately, including calculation of final pay and submission of ROE (or other government filing)
  • Liaise with People and Culture Team as needed
  • Responsible for processing all garnishment orders and related deductions
  • Complete year end payroll tasks including registrar reconciliations, production of tax slips, and submitting government filings

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 24years' experience in fullcycle payroll administration ideally in Canadian and US payroll
  • Canadian Payroll Association (PCP or CPM) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Extremely well organized, accurate, with superb attentiontodetail
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Previous experience with UKG payroll system would be an asset
