Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing & Digital Communications Coordinator (MDCC) supports the Marketing Department in planning and executing programs that strengthen Ferguslea Properties' brand identity.


The right person for this role will have a passion for all things social media, and embrace the responsibility of being an "Accora Village Influencer".

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Managing the organization's website, social media channels and rental listing services.
  • Working closely with the Manager to plan, execute and monitor all aspects of the marketing strategy including, but not limited to, digital and traditional advertising, sponsorships and partnerships, content creation and other campaigns.
  • Conceptualizing content, writing copy, shooting photo and video, and engaging with followers on social media platforms should feel second nature.
  • Producing a social media strategy, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, monthly content calendars, tracking and growing our followers and KPIs
  • Producing original, eyecatching and engaging content that tells our story and keeps the Accora Village brand front of mind.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all sponsorship and community outreach activities, events and programs.
  • Representing Accora Village at the events, during the day, evening and/or weekends, as needed
  • Managing suppliers and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing, Recreation, and Resident Experience teams to plan and implement community outreach and engagement events.
  • Providing administrative support to the Marketing & Communications Manager and VP of Marketing and Resident Engagement
  • Overseeing the processing of contracts, unit availability report, New Vendor Forms, invoices, PO processing and expense reports.
  • Managing the purchasing of promotional materials and supplies related to all aspects of the marketing department.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:


  • Postsecondary degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in marketing or similar role.
  • A creative communicator with excellent writing, copy editing skills and knowledge of CP Style.
  • An eye for photography, videography and design.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign would be an asset.
  • Experience managing photography and video productions and web development projects.

  • As a condition of employment, must complete & maintain a valid Criminal Background Check.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Flexible and highly organized with a great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • This is a hybrid position with the option to work both from home and our office located at 98 Woodridge Crescent in Ottawa.
  • Fast paced and exciting work environment
  • Occasional overtime will be required for sponsorships events, customer service or to meet deadlines.
  • Extended periods at a computer may be required at times.
  • The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying office supplies or equipment may be required.
