Part Time Physiotherapy Assistant

North Queens Nursing Home is a 43-bed Long Term Care Facility located in Caledonia, Nova Scotia.

Caledonia is a rural community of Queens County, close to Kejimkujik National Park, and in close proximity to both the South Shore and Annapolis Valley.

North Queens Nursing Home considers the needs of our residents as a whole, considering their social, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being.

Qualifications:

Graduate of Physiotherapy Assistant course
Minimum 2 years previous experience
Previous experience in long term care an asset
A commitment to resident centred care, with Eden Philosophy training an asset
Excellent communication skills with residents, families and other team members
Alzheimer's and Related Dementia Care/Gentle Persuasive Approach course an asset
Current First Aid/CPR training, or a willingness to obtain
Regular attendance in current and previous employment

Rate:
as per Department of Health and Wellness funding, with competitive benefits
