We are currently looking for a HRIS Implementation Specialist based out of St. Thomas, ON
Our mission has started. Volkswagen Group's largest cell factory in St.

Thomas will carry out all battery activities - from processing raw materials to developing a unified Volkswagen battery to managing the European and North American gigafactories.

  • We are looking for a passionate HRIS Implementation Specialist who wants to CELLebrate in a fastpaced and fastchanging environment. As part of the rampup team of our new Canadian location, you will report to the HR PMO & Digital Manager. You will support the implementation of HR Digital technologies within PowerCo Canada Inc with a strong focus on the SAP HCM ecosystem.

_ This is a temporary flex hybrid model requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office._

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Implementation of PowerCo Canada Inc HR Digitalization portfolio projects and systems activities
  • Supporting the continuous optimization, agile ramp up and digitalization of the HR process organization
  • Responsible for working with internal stakeholders to gather system requirements and translate them into robust and effective digital solutions
  • Responsible for regular liaison with key IT contacts for all project intersections e.g. integrations, architecture
  • Responsible for ensuring effective business as usual handovers to key user group including upskilling
  • Responsible for working with external configuration and support teams
  • Supporting with product and service benchmarking activities
  • Work with the global HR Digitalization regularly on key topics / project
  • Using formal processes and tools to manage resources, tasks, and changes
  • Managing project status and information, and communicating them through formal briefings, project update meetings, and/or written or electronic reports
  • Developing, maintaining, and managing detailed project plans, action item registers, and milestone timelines for all assigned projects
  • Creating and maintaining process workflow documents to support business needs
  • Ensure strict data governance and data security is adhered to and maintained within all projects
  • Managing the endtoend process of all assigned projects, ensuring ontime delivery and meeting budgetary demands
  • Maintaining communication with stakeholders and acting as a single pointofcontact for project status
  • Performing quality control in all projects throughout their life cycles to ensure all standards are adhered to
  • Maintaining highlevel knowledge of projects' life cycle and portfolio
  • Providing daily updated to the HR PMO & Digital Manager
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or as they might pertain to the position

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business, IT or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years experience in HRIS implementation administration or 3+ years experience within a project role
  • 2+ years of experience with SAP SuccessFactors
  • Prior experience and knowledge of digital transformation tools and practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to frequent change.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as an independent and structured way of working and comprehensive MS Office skills
  • Preferred if PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile or other Project Management qualifications
  • Knowledge of SAP implementation methodology
  • Fluency in spoken and written Germany is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel (up to ~10%)
  • Ability to maintain flexible work hours to account for time zone differences with Europe, when necessary
  • Overtime may be required to meet rampup deadlines
