POSITION OVERVIEW

The overall purpose of this position is to support the coordination of departmental inputs and reviews for the monthly OCM process, supporting business strategy development and short/long-term sales planning/forecasting.

The position will be involved with mid to long range business planning, analysis and projects development including segment trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Monthly Operations Committee Governance meeting including:
  • Coordination of internal review meeting(s) with HAC executive team
  • Coordination and collection of inputs from all relevant departments to be included in presentation
  • Development of monthly presentation
  • Coordination with HMNA/HAC on follow-up items and preparation of meeting notes for distribution to HAC team
  • Support Development of Annual Mid-Term Plan including:
  • Preparation of 10-year volume forecast by carline (Hyundai and Genesis) including segment forecasts and market share assumptions for each carline
  • Coordination and alignment with HMNA on long range product plan assumptions
  • Ensuring plan will be compliant with short term and long term Federal and Provincial eco vehicle requirements
  • Ongoing revisions and updates as required
  • Development of Strategic Industry Insights including:
  • Monthly and quarterly review of industry and segment forecasts
  • Analyze and report relevant industry information for the development of update reports to be distributed throughout HAC
  • Support Development of yearly Business Plan to determine annual sales volume target forecast including:
  • Working with Sales Department to determine HAC sales requirements by carline (Hyundai and Genesis)
  • Development of annual industry forecast for coming year
  • Research Adhoc requests as required which may include:
  • Specific vehicle volume studies
  • Vehicle feasibility studies for North American (specifically Canadian) market
  • Capacity volume studies
  • Additional requests as required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry and competitive landscape
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint; confident with intermediate functions, modelling and dashboard creation
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Excellent analytical skills; detailoriented, selfstarter and forward thinking
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills
  • Assertive team player, ability to positively influence without direct authority to drive deliverables
  • Strong work ethic with internal motivation to succeed

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of an undergraduate degreeor an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in same or similar function.
