Job Description:


The Line Supervisor, Sewing is responsible for coordinating and planning the activities of the sewing floor, ensuring the teams are performing at a high efficiency and reaching daily targets.

Provide Leadership to the shop floor


What You'll Do:


  • Review the Production Schedule daily and plan work for the line (Sewing, Down fill, Inspection).
  • Review the approved Sample with the Manual before production start.
  • Work with Industrial Engineering to calculate the workforce requirement and balance lines for optimum output.
  • Identify training requirements and coordinate training for each Section/ Line/ Operator.
  • Review low performance (Efficiency & Quality) and work with them to create improvement action plans.
  • Provide a safe environment within the department and Manufacturing floor
  • Request Time studies to be done on a timely basis.
  • Review all Production boards that are up to date with accurate information.
  • Review reports and make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Review with the maintenance staff to ensure that all equipment is in working condition and used for the proper operation.
  • Continuously find ways to improve the process flow to maximize output.
  • Communicate and update direct reports for business updates/ Union grievances/ Management decisions.

Let's Talk About You:


  • Over 10 years of Apparel Manufacturing experience
  • 5 years of Supervisory position (Preferably in the Apparel Industry)
  • Ability to sew and follow Manual
  • Must be familiar with Sewing operations and Machines ( industrial type)
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Able to Prioritize work and delegate work
  • Update the Management periodically with solutions/ action
  • Must be familiar with computers and business software such as MS Office and Excel.

  • Able to Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
