What can I expect to do in this role?: Duties will include:

Working as a team member of the Municipal Law Section in a fast-paced environment providing expert risk-based legal advice and legislative drafting on municipal law and related legislation
Supporting policy and program development; briefing senior ministry staff, drafting legislation, regulations, opinions, minister's orders and agreements
Developing and delivering related training & education initiatives

How do I qualify?:

Mandatory:

Membership in good standing as a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of and experience with the _Municipal Act_ and the _City of Toronto Act_ and other related planning, municipal, real estate and land development law
Legal drafting experience
Demonstrated ability to handle a highvolume practice and work productively and independently in a high pressure team environment
Demonstrated judgment, organizational and analytical skills
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Proven client service orientation
