Accounting Analyst
Work location in Greater Toronto Area

About This Opportunity
Reporting to the _Manager, Accounting_, the Accounting Analyst will prepare, assist, process and perform a variety of specialized duties associated with analyzing accounting needs.
In this role you will:
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations between Web Applications, Sage Accounting System, event reports and bank accounts in connection with the monthly closing process.
- Work closely with various members of the accounting and Finance Teams to follow up on and correct discrepancies.
- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of process documentation and records management.
- Assist with audits, (interim and annual external),
- Be secondhand responsible person for preparation of regulatory filings.
- Handle large volumes of data, complete detailed reconciliations, and other special projects as assigned.
- Prepare monthly cashed CHQ List and outstanding cheques list.
- Help accounts payable and unit banking team to place a stop payment.
- Prepare and post monthly bank service fees. Interest accruals and other bank related journal entries.
- Have a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related financial field
- Are currently enrolled in CPA or a degree along with equivalent work experience
- Have at least 3 years of experience in an analyst role preferably with a registered charity in Canada or not for profit in Canada
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to flow through financial transactions
- Have working knowledge of/experience with Sage
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have excellent organizational abilities with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Are a team player with ability to work with all levels within the organization
- Are a positive, enthusiastic and committed team player and have a demonstrated high degree of initiative, judgement and problemsolving ability
- Have demonstrated computer software proficiency with MS Office; Office 365, Advanced Excel.

Starting Annual Salary:
$55,231.00
*Salary based location, Greater Toronto Area
