Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist - Winnipeg, Canada - University of Winnipeg
Description
The PACE department provides education and training for adult learners during the day and evening in a wide variety of part-time and full-time program areas using delivery methods of live in-person, live online and online asynchronous.
Responsibilities:
- Design marketing automation and optimization elements.
- Implement Salesforce updates for recruitment, admissions, and data reporting.
- Contribute to cost benefit analysis and business case development.
- Ensure security and integrity of Salesforce, Account Engagement, and PACE's website.
- Supervise and guide the PACE webmaster in CMSbased web page creation and editing.
- Build communication architectures between systems and program workflows.
- Maintain Web Content Accessibility Guidelines adherence and provide technical training/documentation.
- Act as an expert on Digitary's digital badges, Zoom webinars, and system architectures.
- Analyze, translate, and validate improvement requests into system/business requirements.
- Develop operating procedures, maintenance documentation, and conduct regular audits.
- Define system maintenance contractual terms through technical requirements.
- Lead projects by providing mentorship, measuring digital marketing campaign performance, and proposing optimization strategies.
- Identify marketing data trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Enhance endtoend customer experience across channels.
- Collaborate on marketing/content calendar creation and suggest Marketing Systems Strategy improvements.
- Recommend website performance enhancements and research marketing practices for brand visibility.
- Establish, implement, and evaluate short
- Create timelines, execute digital/print marketing campaigns, and devise sales and service team communication strategies.
- Ensure brand message consistency, oversee ads, and coordinate photoshoots.
- Supervise updates to PACE's website, social media platforms, and publications.
- Act as the main contact for external marketing and promotions.
- Oversee production, packaging, and distribution for international and domestic recruitment materials.
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and collaborate on marketing initiatives.
- Ensure coordination among crossfunctional teams and gather student feedback/data for strategies.
- Engage in professional development related to areas of specialization through seminars and associations.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably related to marketing, public relations, or communications.
- Specialized training in electronic media communications and website management/development.
- 3 years' experience in a professional writing or content creation capacity.
- 3 years' experience working with social media platforms in a professional setting.
- 3 years' experience with photography and/or videography in a professional setting
- 3 years' experience working with websites and content management systems (familiarity with HTML & Drupal is an asset).
- 3 years' experience in crossplatform configuration and management, specific to the requirements of communication architecture planning and automation workflow an asset
- 3 years' experience in programming automation workflows in Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) an asset
- Excellent ability to utilize technology and learn new technology.
- Ability to leverage technology for marketing and communications.
- Understanding of continuous improvement and building efficiencies into strategies and processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership acumen
- Demonstrated working knowledge of layout, design, and branding best practices.
- A good working knowledge of the university environment is an asset.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the issues and experiences of adult students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge in conducting research (qualitative and quantitative)
- Knowledge of University of Winnipeg, PACE Professional Studies area an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage tight deadlines and frequent interruptions, and prioritize work assignments to meet fast turnover timelines.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong client service and relationship building skills.
