At Open Farm, we are enthusiastic about spreading awareness of sustainable, ethically sourced pet nutrition. We are seeking a like-minded individual to join us as our R&D Intern.




The Role:


If you want to be part of a skilled team making a positive impact in pet care and share a commitment to sustainability, we are currently seeking an R&D Intern to contribute to the development of Open Farm's raw materials.

This role will involve working closely with various teams to review new raw materials, ensuring they meet OF's Brand Standard, and gaining hands-on experience in verification and documentation.


In this position you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal (Procurement, QA, R&D, Impact) and external teams to assess new raw materials, complying with OF's standards.
  • Assist in organizing and tracking formulas in share point for R&D, Quality, Procurement, and Coman teams.
  • Help in drafting and finalizing specifications of raw materials and finished products for R&D, Procurement, and QA teams.
  • Maintain nutrient trackers and alert teams of any deviations or trends in nutrient review.
  • Support in drafting or updating SOPs as needed.
  • Manage traceability and quality documentations, as well as track food safety and quality metrics.


You Have:

  • Background in Science, Research and Development, or related field.
  • Understanding of R&D fundamentals and documentation practices.
  • Curiosity and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent soft skills.
