Convergint seeks a full-time, driven and forward-thinking Technical Sales Representative to join our thriving culture in Toronto.

In this role, you will support the service delivery team by handling work order quotations, small service jobs, and retrofit projects.

Building and nurturing relationships within our service portfolio will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams, you'll ensure the timely and successful delivery of Convergint solutions aligned with customer needs and account objectives.

What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

  • Build strong, enduring relationships with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors, serving as the primary point of contact for all assigned customer matters.
  • Continuously assess, clarify, and validate customer needs to ensure proactive and responsive service.
  • Work alongside Service Supervisor, managing a customer quality assurance program, including regular followups with customer accounts, proposing additional services to existing customers, conducting industryknowledgebased site visits, and presenting detailed proposals and project plans.
  • Provide technical and small sales support to the sales force and assist in interpreting various customer requirements, showcasing creativity and ingenuity in finding solutions.
  • Continuously collaborate with Account Executives to ensure larger opportunities are effectively consulted on and negotiated to ensure favorable T & Cs with clients. Efficiently manage work orders, renewals, and small service jobs with precision.
  • Efficiently estimate work orders, renewals, and smaller service jobs with precision.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate impacts, controlling deviations from estimated costs and deadlines.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding monthly/quarterly initiative progress with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within key accounts, collaborating with sales teams to achieve growth targets.
  • Represent the full range of company products and services to assigned customers, leading the customer account planning cycle to ensure their needs are met effectively.
  • Regularly review project/service deliverables with the operations team.
  • Take charge in responding to highseverity customer requests or issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of operations, support, service, and management resources to meet account performance objectives and exceed customers' expectations.
  • Acts as "our customer's best service provider" at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer's first choice for service.

What You'll Need

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of a customer's organization.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

Requirements:


  • Minimum two years' experience with Building Automation Systems is required.
  • Fire Life Safety, and/or Security system knowledge is an asset.
  • Minimum two years in a sales role
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Management, or other related field an asset
  • Technical diploma and/or equivalent trade experience an asset
