Purpose:

Provide an overview of the job responsibilities.
The Observatory and Laboratory Assistant is responsible for hosting visitors for the purpose of outreach and education and providing basic technical support for laboratories

Education:

While enrollment in a physics and astronomy degree is preferred, any student with some background interest in astronomy will be considered.

Experience:

Experience in oral presentations, working within a team environment and a demonstrated interest in education are assets.
