The Team:
The Specialist Special Accounts report directly to the Team Manager Special Accounts.


A typical day would involve:


  • Assess current financial situation of members in order to provide sound advice and support while maintaining member files according to established guidelines.
  • Reviewing member profiles and recommend optimal recovery solutions which include negotiation of payment arrangements, restructure, litigation, and writeoffs to achieve maximum member benefit while mitigating risk and minimizing loss to Vancity.
  • Partnering with related internal/external stakeholders (e.g. Visa, lawyers, realtors, appraisers) in order to resolve the debt and meet business objectives

You have:

A High School diploma - At a minimum, yo have graduated from high school and/or equivalent

Completion of Financial Planning Coursework - You have taken Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 and the CUIC 210
-
Lending Experience - One year of lending experience in the financial industry


Bonus Points:


  • Completed trusted advisor or trusted enabler training
  • Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders from different levels and areas of the organization
