About The Role

Wise Publishing is seeking a SEO Content Specialist to help make our website the best in class.

Reporting to the Manager of SEO, the SEO specialist will be responsible for monitoring website performance and planning improvements so we can stay ahead of our competition.


This role will achieve this by:

  • Identifying issues that may impact our overall site health
  • Managing our process for garnering backlinks
  • Planning and executing opportunities for website optimizations
Who should you be, ideally?

  • 36 years immersive experience within SEO
  • Keep up with all the latest SEO and Google trends
  • Deep understanding of how the search algorithms work
  • Deep understanding of analytics
  • Understanding of html and where to optimize for search
  • Experience with the following platforms: GA, AhRefs, SEM Rush, Screaming Frog
What tools should you know?

  • Google Analytics
  • Search Console
  • HTML
  • AhRefs
  • SEM Rush
  • Screaming Frog
  • Excel
  • BI tools

Responsibilities:


  • Create and implement ongoing link building campaigns and backlink audits
  • Own Google Search Console and fix any errors
  • Implement technical SEO best practices, such as canonicalization and redirects
  • Monitor domain authority and rankings, benchmarking against competitors
  • Evaluate opportunities to optimize page speed and correct core web vital issues
  • Deeply understand and own the organic performance of both our dot com and cot ca properties
  • Help with content ideas through keyword research and website usability patterns
  • Optimize content for EAT and YMYL strategies
  • Help develop and implement programmatic SEO pages
  • Work with vendors to audit the optimize site structure
  • Audit and manage site schema
  • Keep abreast of SEO trends

Preferred to Have:


  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, or math
  • Experience copywriting
  • Experience with front end web development
  • Management experience
  • Google Analytics
