As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking a Controller for their Vancouver location. This role is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to step into a more senior, strategic role.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all aspects of the company's financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes to support the company's strategic goals.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all statutory accounting requirements.
  • Manage the company's budgeting and financial forecasting processes, providing insights to support business decisions.
  • Lead the financial monthend and yearend close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage annual audits.
  • Provide financial analysis as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to align financial management with short and longterm operational strategies.

Qualifications:


  • Significant experience in accounting, ideally as a Senior Accountant in a similar industry.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective financial systems and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements.
  • Experience with financial reporting and tax filings.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a detailoriented approach to financial management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear manner.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
