As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking a Controller for their Vancouver location. This role is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to step into a more senior, strategic role.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the company's financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation.
Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes to support the company's strategic goals.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all statutory accounting requirements.
Manage the company's budgeting and financial forecasting processes, providing insights to support business decisions.
Lead the financial monthend and yearend close process.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Coordinate and manage annual audits.
Provide financial analysis as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Collaborate with other team leaders to align financial management with short and longterm operational strategies.

Qualifications:

Significant experience in accounting, ideally as a Senior Accountant in a similar industry.
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Proven ability to develop and implement effective financial systems and processes.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements.
Experience with financial reporting and tax filings.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of fostering a positive work environment.
Strong analytical skills, with a detailoriented approach to financial management.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear manner.
Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
