Eaton's EPG EAS Electrical Automation Solutions division is currently seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager.


What you'll do:


Position Overview:

The Global Supply Chain Manager is a key position on the operations team for Energy Automation Solution (EAS). This role is responsible for all Supply Chain activities across multiple sites and product lines.

These Supply Chain activities include, but are not limited to, Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), Materials, Procurement, Out-sourced Production Planning with Multiple Electronics Service Contract Manufactures, Sourcing, Warehousing, Shipping, and Logistics.


  • This role provides exposure to crossfunctional and corporate Eaton teams, in addition to working with key leaders in engineering, finance, operations, and marketing

In this function you will:


  • Manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure the completion of customer requirements
  • Implement methods, practices, and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve costeffective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements
  • Manage purchasing activities for items procured on a local basis to complement purchased items at our contract manufacturing sites.
  • Lead and facilitate the SIOP process for the site, ensuring crossfunctional participation, accountability, and procedural compliance with each critical step in the process, with a focus on Demand/Supply Alignment and maintaining lead times that meet market expectations.
  • Develop resources within various functions to create a worldclass workforce that supports the Integrated Supply Chain model. Use a combination of performance management and recruiting for critical skills to create a highly capable workforce with opportunities for achievement and advancement
  • Ensure correct planning parameters and transaction disciplines are utilized in order execution systems (SAP) to ensure proper order generation and inventory balances
  • Coordinate with Eaton's Supply Chain to provide data and participate in teams to drive best practices across the Electrical Sector, and Eaton as a whole
  • Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity, logistics, and inventory strategies to achieve synergy across the operation.
  • Initiate, support and lead continuous improvement activities within the department. Schedule, lead and communicate departmental priorities with the team and coordinate activities with other functions within EAS

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Supply Chain in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience directly supervising or managing others
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Prior SAP experience: ECC and APO modules
  • Professional Supply Chain Certifications: APICS
  • CPIM/CSCP, ISM
  • CPSM/CPM, American Purchasing Society
  • CPP/CPPM or similar
  • Knowledge of lean material management principles utilizing consignment, pull systems, KanBan, synchronized manufacturing, level loading, inventory modeling, JIT, and MRP

  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills to collaborate effectively building a team consensus with the ability to influence others
  • Ability to articulate strategic business direction to all levels of the organization including the senior leadership team
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and demonstrating the use of S&OP principles (Oliver Wight preferred)
  • Demonstrated Lean / Six Sigma principles utilized to drive continuous improvement
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks ontime
