    There is an excellent Permanent opportunity for a Cook at our Yellowhead Youth Center (PCBC) who will be reporting to the Program Supervisor. Employee to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for youth.

    As a Cook you will you are part of a fast paced environment where you are responsible for: food preparation; planning ((birthdays, discharge parties, holiday meals, etc.), budgeting and ordering food and household supplies; completion of food/supply inventories; ensuring safety and cleanliness of the work area; assisting the child care staff in establishing standards pertaining to cleanliness, chores, laundry and other client living skills; the instruction of basic life skills to clients, supervise clients and function as a role model for them.

    You will be accountable for the daily delivery of safe, fresh, consistent, nutritious, and visually appealing food to the Edmonton - PCBC Clients - cooking meals for up to 30 people. Using your strong knowledge of the culinary arts and your ability to follow rules and guidelines, you would be expected to carry out your responsibilities within a standard set of kitchen policies and procedures as well as industry practices. The challenge you will face in this position is to provide services as required within a highly dynamic working environment. Ability to supervise and work with youth in the kitchen.
