We are a highly vertically integrated manufacturer encompassing wood cabinet construction, paint & finishing, electronics, injection molding, and assembly.

We are currently hiring a

Quality Specialist to coordinate all daily quality functions with the Quality and Operations Department. This is a full-time, permanent role on day shift Monday to Friday (7:00 am to 3:30pm),


Who will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Create and review incoming quality reports.
  • Show initiative and support the daily manufacturing activities and resolve line issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions relating to production and quality system improvements.
  • Initiate NCR, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Recommend and initiate improvement in incoming processes and implement corrective actions
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of incoming quality functions
  • Maintain and ensure material/part traceability
  • Perform firstoff, incoming, inprocess and final inspections of parts, materials and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and tag noncomplying parts/ products and follow up to ensure deficiencies are corrected.
  • Use and maintain quality control jigs and tools, initiate new requests.
  • Take up an active role in FAI (First Article Inspection) process performing required measurements and testing.
  • Perform Engineering change task.
  • Create, report and maintain inspection quality records/ documents within the Quality Management (QMS) system
  • Work with the ERP system, entering, accessing, and utilizing data in support of inspections and quality managing system as a whole.
  • Support Production activities if and when required.
  • Looking through plans, drawings and specifications to understand the design requirements of parts/ products.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement continuous improvements to lower COPQ and improve overall product quality.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative skills to develop a detailed report on the failings of our products/ parts
  • Perform specialized acoustic tests on required parts.
  • Review and maintain records of supplier's documentation i.e. COC, check sheets
  • Support quality control/ assurance programs such as lean manufacturing, problemsolving, auditing, etc.
  • Ensure timely resolution of internal & external providers' failures and implementation of CAPA.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance quality system, such as 5S, kaizen lean method, etc.
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System.
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment around the work area.
  • Other duties as deemed or assigned.

Employment & Qualification Requirements:


  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents
  • Detailedorientated and analytical decisionmaker
  • Knowledge of precision measuring devices gauges such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauge, quality control jigs etc.
years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing company (electronics experience is an asset).

  • CQI certificate by ASQ or equivalent is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard is an asset
  • Solid computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and ERP systems is mandatory
  • Ability to manage time to meet demands.
  • Ability to carry up to 50Ibs.
  • Engineering or College Diploma and 2 years of relevant manufacturing environment experience
  • High school diploma and 4+ years experience as a Quality Control Associate in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization skills; data and time management skills
  • Strong people skills and ability to resolve quality issues effectively and efficiently in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Enjoy work that is primarily active in nature at the incoming/ manufacturing floor, but also ability to work with office personnel and their process flow.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and prioritize work effectively.
