    Tâches:

    1. Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
    2. Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports
    3. Instruct apprentices
    4. Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
    5. Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
    6. Assist during routine systems testing
    7. Assist in locating and isolating system problems
    8. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
    9. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
    10. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
    11. Issue work and test permits to electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel
    12. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities
    13. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
    14. Operate automated or computerized control systems
    15. Operate equipment in hydro, thermal and nuclear power plants
    16. Perform routine equipment maintenance
    17. Regulate and co-ordinate transmission loads, frequency and line voltage
    18. Regulate water levels
    19. Start up and shut down power plant equipment
    20. Write plant or building operation reports
    21. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment

    Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

    • Power Systems/Stations Operators Trade Certification
    • Stationary Engineer 'A' - Refrigeration Plant Operator
