Job Description:


This position serves as a Site Logistics Manager for the field logĂ­stical support for all projects executed by Global Engineering Manufacturing Technology and Equipment (GEMTE).

From time to time, support is provided to other groups.

The position encompasses the development of logistics estimates, creating execution strategies, feasibility studies, logistics risk management (including insurances), and freight forecasting.

In addition, sourcing of logistic services, which includes all modes of transport, warehousing, export packing, freight forwarding, and interfacing with our global compliance teams to ensure APCI is CTPAT compliant throughout our supply chain.

The Field Logistics Project Manager is responsible for the execution of the field logistics activities. A sense of urgency and ownership are requirements of the position.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:

  • Develop logistics budget per project.
  • Prepare scopes for logistics contracts (i.e., logistics surveys, transportation, freight forwarding, export packing, customs clearance, etc.)
  • Prepare logistics plans and budgets (cost and hours) and execute in accordance with logistics strategy, delivering all equipment safely, in good condition, on time, on budget.

Forecast on monthly basis.- Ensure all activities are within compliance of government regulations.- Check the status of all material, including current estimated time of arrival dates, shortages against purchase orders along with issues against Bill of Materials- Use the Material Control work process and associated tools- Utilize Smart Plant system to manage materials from origin to final destination- Coordinate domestic and international shipments in all modes of transportation as it pertains to field logistics.

- Manage the process of Material Receiving Reports, Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OSD) reports
