What you'll do
Cost Analysis:
Analyze costs related to products, services, or business units and identify ways to reduce costs or improve profitability. This may include identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating better prices with suppliers, streamlining processes, or implementing new technology.
Performance Measurement:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the project performance of the organization.
Report and present findings that support decision making through the preparation and presentation of reports to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, including variance analysis and recommendations for improving.
Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze financial data from various sources to support decision-making and identify trends.
Communication and Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and development and implementation of solutions to enhance financial operations.
Financial modeling:
Create financial models to evaluate the impact of potential changes to the organization's cost structure.
Risk Management:
Identify and analyze potential financial risks to the organization and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
What you'vegot
- 3+ years of accounting experience including data entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, HST, corporate tax, and payroll.
- Accounting degree/working towards a CPA designation.
- Good understanding of GAAP/IFRS. Ability to investigate and research updated policies and regulations.
- GL account reconciliations and financial analysis experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks and/or other ERP systems
- Proficiency with Excel level, pivot tables, advanced formulas, experience using power query, and/or Power BI
- Ability to manage multiple companies' financial data and information in a timely manner.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize.
- Willingness to learn and grow outside of the assigned duties and to strive for improvements.
