Logistics Clerk
(Contract) in our Mississauga Plant.

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of job assignments, including order processing, creating bills of lading, filing, data entry, and other logistics support roles.

What You Will Do:


  • Generates certificate of analysis forms when requested by customers Issuing return paperwork to the carrier and following up on any outstanding returns.
  • Generates/Advises an Overage/Shortage/Damaged Notice for problem in shipments due to over shipments, shortages in shipments, or damaged goods
  • Tracks outstanding pickup notices for those items that are outstanding for more than 5 to 10 days. Follows up with carrier to determine the status of the pickup and to determine the reason for the outstanding pick up notice.
  • Follows up on nondeliveries and forwards notice of nondeliveries to customer service
  • Prints courier bills and labels on a daily basis and forwards to shipping.
  • Preparing small parcel for shipments to customers
  • Resolves issues or discrepancies in shortages in customer shipments/deliveries as identified by Ecolab Customer Service
  • Preparing shipping documents and workload for floor associates
  • Filing and data entry
  • Provides back up to other functions within the warehouse and distribution function.
  • Work in a safe manner and strive for zero workrelated lost time incidents. Understand and follow safety practices/procedures and WHMIS. Ensure proper/safe use of equipment, safeguards, PPE and hazardous materials. Report workrelated hazards/incidents to supervisor without delay.
  • Other duties as required to meet business needs

Work week and shift: Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday 11:30am - 8:00pm

Contract:This is a 12-month contract


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma. Post Secondary education preferred in a related field (Business Admin, Secretarial, Accounting, and Communications) is preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years relative experience
  • Experience in a warehouse and distribution facility is an asset

Technical Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
  • Well developed customer service skills
  • Well developed organization and administrative skills
  • Ability to use computer programs (such as Access, Word, Excel, SAP) to enter data and prepare reports
  • Ability to perform basic calculations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal).
  • Ability to interact effectively with others
  • Basic understanding of shipping/receiving and warehouse operations
  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Must have a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Knowledge of safety issues, precautions, and potential hazards in and around the Plant.
