Summary of the Role

We are seeking a qualified individual to offer engineering support for maintenance activities, focusing on resolving technical issues related to aircraft electrical and avionics systems. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in engineering practices and regulations concerning these systems.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for technical queries from maintenance, fleet, and customers regarding aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
Provide engineering assistance to address discrepancies affecting aircraft or components, ensuring they are returned to serviceable condition.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and support various projects.
Research and propose solutions for avionics and electrical system issues identified during maintenance.
Coordinate with aircraft manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and other involved parties to resolve aircraft discrepancies.
Oversee and facilitate engineering tasks, including managing internal and external resources for design projects, configuration control, and progress monitoring.
Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements

Electrical or Avionics Engineering degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience or a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.
Proven background in providing engineering support for hangar and live aircraft operations.
Familiarity with avionics and electrical systems design principles for Boeing or Airbus aircraft is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills to make informed decisions based on limited information while managing risks effectively.
Willingness to work extra hours to resolve critical aircraft issues.
Readiness to travel as needed to support KF Aerospace locations and clients.
Capability to work independently in an office setting.
Proficiency in MS Office is required, and experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
