About the role


The student's assignment will be to support a propulsion engineer with his/her daily tasks including development of design concept, modeling, drawing creation, post processing test data, automation of data analysis.

The student will learn about jet engine, and the key challenges in maintenance, overhaul, repair and testing, while developing his/her analytical and problem solving skills.


Deliverable include:

  • Post processing of test data
  • Automation of test data analysis and data management
  • Post processing of optical scan and inspection data
  • Geometry modelling
  • Design modification
  • Basic drawing generation
  • Assist engineer staffs in engine overhaul process (could include data organization, collection, development of tools to support engineering functions, etc.)

What you bring to the role

  • The following qualifications are preferred but not exclusionary:
  • Currently studying in a Bachelor of Engineering program at a recognized university in either Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in modelling and designing parts or products for specific function
  • Experience in Solid Works
  • Experience in Matlab or similar programing code
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and prepare technical reports
  • Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and French
