MANA is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical to join our growing team. to join our growing team.

Job purpose


The Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will maintain the mechanical systems to run production schedules to meet order due dates consistent with established policies, regulations, standards of efficiency, employee relations, quality and safety.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical maintenance personnel in daytoday activities to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Communicate and give clear instructions to the team regarding the goals and work priorities.
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and that all matters relating to this are dealt with.
  • Develop, direct, train, and motivate employees by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, coaching, and implementing necessary disciplinary actions to ensure teammates can perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain product quality standards by overseeing production processes, assigning tasks, establishing priorities, and addressing productionrelated issues promptly.
  • Manage employee schedule and time off approvals/denials through the Payworks system.
  • Ensure that all mandatory training documentation is completed new hires, training sign off sheets through to completion, tracking of sign off sheets.
  • Complete probationary reviews.
  • Work in collaboration with various departments including, contractors, shipping, mill operations, and upper management to ensure departmental goals are being met and are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Mentor for existing apprentice, ensuring proper understanding and techniques are used when repairing equipment.
  • 433A Millwright ticket required with 5+ years' experience leading a team or equivalent experience.
  • Hands on approach to working.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Able to independently make decisions on what the next steps may be (whether to repair, or replace parts, for example).
  • Demonstrate collaborative spirit and initiative.
  • Strives for continuous improvement at all times.
  • Works safely, and recognizes the need to keep others safe, at all times.
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
