JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE SUMMARY
As an expert of production, the Operator C performs all entry level tasks.

He/She is responsible for the packaging, labeling and counting of all finished products as well as the unloading of big bags and splicing of reinforcement.

Accountability and accuracy are paramount traits of a successful Operator C. Forklift will be the main working tool of the Operator C position.

He/She will also be required to fill in to other positions in the plant on an as needed basis.


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing quality checks;
  • Transferring the finished product pallets from the oven to the storage area using a forklift;
  • Respecting the storage plan provided by the shipping leader;
  • Unloading of big bag to feed the machine as needed;
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workstation at all times;
  • Helping the rest of the team when needed;
  • Ensure the full respect of the safety rules on site;
  • Any other related duties requested by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma (an asset).

Knowledge and Competencies

  • Experience in a manufacturing plant (an asset);
  • Forklift operating experience (an asset).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Schedule: Flexible 8 hour shifts days, afternoons and Night shift (premiums available)
  • Must be available for all shifts
  • Some overtime may be required
  • Must wear required PPE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional handling of heavy loads (40 kg)
  • Good physical health
