    Tartu College is seeking a dynamic Accounting & Administrative Specialist to join our friendly team. In this diverse role, you'll balance the books and support our vibrant community, ensuring everything runs smoothly. it's about building a welcoming and collaborative environment.

    We are a Not-For-Profit organization dedicated to providing a unique and enriching experience for university students during the academic term.

    Our building hosts a dynamic academic and cultural program on its ground floors, including for Estonian Museum Canada libraries, archives, community spaces and Estonian Life, a leading Estonian newspaper serving as a central source of news and events for the Estonian-Canadian community, preserving its heritage through language.

    Tartu College is more than just a residence – we're a warm and welcoming community that actively engages with our young student residents.


    Accounting responsibilities include and are not limited to:
    Processing monthly payments and maintaining accurate data records.
    Performing daily reconciliations for receivables.
    Conducting monthly bank reconciliations.
    Managing client accounts and payment schedules.
    Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Welcoming customers, answering phone calls and resolving inquiries
    Collaborating with the housing coordinator to provide accommodations for students and other services.
    Assist in maintaining Tartu College's website and managing social media accounts.
    Providing administrative support and assisting with event planning for Estonian Museum Canada and Estonian Life teams.
    Minimum 1 year of office-related work experience.
    Post-secondary education or college diploma or relevant work experience.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    Familiarity with standard office procedures, accounting practices and software.
    Ability to communicate in Estonian is an asset.

    Full-time, Permanent

    8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
