    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    • The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) plays a key role in organizing and overseeing educational activities for nursing staff, like orientation, education programs, clinical development, and continuous education related to Apheresis.
    • The CNE also contributes to zonal education programs and committees that concentrate on clinical policies and procedures linked to Apheresis, ensuring the Apheresis Quality Management System's upkeep.
    • Collaborating with the Apheresis leadership team and staff, the CNE aids in providing services such as Plasma exchange, stem cell collections, photopheresis, and red blood exchanges to both adult and pediatric patients.
    • Active involvement in clinical trials and ongoing professional development is essential for this role.

    Description:

    • As an Instructor, you will be a proficient practitioner and essential educator supporting nursing staff and the multidisciplinary clinical team.
    • You will take charge of planning, coordinating, executing, and assessing education for nursing staff, including orientation, mandatory and continuous education, and clinical development.
    • Collaboration with management and internal partners to enhance standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-based practices is a crucial aspect of this role.
    • You will be instrumental in delivering secure, high-quality patient and family-centered care aligned with the collective vision and values of AHS.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
    • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

    Additional Required Qualifications:

    • Recent Apheresis experience.
