Job description
We are running a new project where bilingual speakers record short, everyday conversations to help improve future voice technology, and we would like to invite you to participate.
No experience requiredAll you need is:
A laptop
A microphone
The ability to speak naturally in your native language and understand a second language well
You and another speaker will record short, everyday conversations (about 5 minutes each) on simple topics like shopping, travel, or making plans.
Your partner will speak only in theirs.
The conversation flows naturally, switching between two languages.
A little background noise (like a café or park) is perfectly fine
What You'll Do
Complete a 30-minute paid training
Join 8 short conversation sessions (about 5 minutes each)
Use a simple online recording tool (similar to Zoom, no camera needed)
Total time commitment:
around 3 hours, scheduled at your convenience
Requirements:
Native in one of the project languages and able to understand the second language clearly (en_IN/ml)
Comfortable speaking naturally
Able to use a laptop and microphone
No prior technical or linguistic experience needed
We'll ask for a quick 1-minute audio sample to confirm suitability-it's super easy
Compensation:
Paid training (30 minutes)
8 conversation sessions (about 20 minutes each including setup)
Rate:
$15 per hour
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
Mandatory skills:
Indian English Dialect, English India, Malayalam, Conversational Fluency, English
