Reporting up to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) in the Service Delivery Division (SDD) for the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), this position is responsible for providing executive support services to the ADM and division.


SDD is the largest division in the ministry providing direct services to children, youth, and families in multiple service lines like child welfare, child and youth mental health, child and youth with support needs, youth justice and many other service areas across the province.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Education:


  • Completion of relevant postsecondary degree or diploma (e.g., Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, Communications, etc.).

Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior administrative role supporting a senior leader (Executive Director and up).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information and issues.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing diverse workloads effectively and independently.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in coordinating and responding to financial, human resources and administrative issues.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (i.e., less education with more experience).

PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH:

  • More than 2 years' experience in a senior administrative role supporting a senior leader (Executive Director and up).
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish and/or leading project working groups and committees.
