**The Opportunity

Reporting to the Lead, Recruitment Services, this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources portfolio in a timely and confidential manner.

The Human Resources Assistant has access to sensitive and confidential situations and information, requiring a high level of professionalism and diplomacy.

In keeping with Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, Carewest's policies and Administrative standards this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times.

Responsible for other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Administrative diploma or a combination of education and appropriate experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years administrative experience; preferably in a health care setting. Advanced computer skills required. Experience with pension and benefits considered an asset. This position requires high attention to detail, initiative and the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision. Excellent time management, communication, organizational skills and a professional demeanor are required.
